Business:

  • The group goes around and discusses what they are working on in their lives and on for NASC to assess what we can all do since we are all a bit busy!
  • We also talk about The Flytrap Project and talk about the goals of the project which are to help preserve the natural habitats of the flytrap in North Carolina. Discussion of how to get more information about flytraps to the general public also takes place.

Business:

  • Ben asks the group for informational/promotional banners, pamphlets and the like about conversation and the NASC cause to spread the word in Nebraska. He would really like to get the Omaha Zoo on board with a carnivorous plant exhibit.
  • Sheila talks about her local zoo and about the dead or dying carnivorous plants there. She suggest that perhaps NASC sponsors a bog at the zoo with native Mississippi plants. The group's main concern is proper care.
  • Heather talks about the North Carolina Zoo and how they keep the carnivorous plants in the same exhibit at the alligators.
  • Heather also forgot to write her article.
