Business:

Benefit Auction business is still not closed as we are waiting for final transactions to take place.
The group discusses funds for Cedar Mountain Bog.
The board members go over the 2012 monetary breakdowns. And talk budget.

Mark says the First Crawl Festival in Oak Island, NC was extremely windy and could have used help holding the table down! But he said it was a good festival and it went well.
There are still a small amount of people that have not finished their transactions for the Benefit Auction.
Mark wants to join forces with other carnivorous plant based groups to enter a float in a festival/parade next year! It would be interesting and awesome to see this happen.
Now that the deadline for finishing up all Benefit Auction items (which is May 13th – exactly a month from the last day of the auction), the group talked about the funds raised and the beneficiary of the funds.

We are still waiting on a few more people to complete their transactions for the benefit auction.
Vic is in the talking process of working out a seed collection from a location.
Ryan is still looking into the Citronelle, AL situation with a possible herbicide issue.
Mark will be attending the First Crawl Festival in Oak Island, NC this weekend.
Ryan found a few grants the group will try to win!

We are still waiting on a few more payments and shipment of auction items.
Mark got an email about an environmental festival near Boiling Spring Lakes, NC next weekend. Mark will try to attend the event for the rest of us!
The group votes to buy a folding table and chair(s) for future festivals we may attend!
The board discusses adding a new rules to the benefit auction next year.

The group discusses the end of the auction, it’s success and the issues surrounding the end of the auction.
Ryan is looking into the herbicide situation in Citronelle, Alabama that has killed off several plants.
