- NASC will open a comment period on a plan to divert funds from the intended Dulany Bog project - still in the planning stages - to a critically important North Carolina mountain bog project that would immediately put funds raised during the 2012 auction to use helping restore habitat for S. purpurea and S. jonesii. UPDATE: Emily has posted a request for comment from interested parties, including those who donated during the auction, at TerraForums. You may comment from now until the Board votes on November 8th. The amount requested may be about $1500.
- Yann (in Europe) successfully received the seeds Vic has sent
- The Nature Conservatory will be receiving plant donations on behalf of NASC for a native plant display at a community center at the Boiling Spring Lakes Preserve.
- The land agreement waivers have been received by the landowner of the rescue site in the Florida panhandle. We're on our way to a rescue!
